What happens when a nation falls in love with its own power and forgets who really owns the river, the land, and the glory? Ezekiel 29 shows God humbling Egypt—not just for Pharaoh’s pride, but because Israel trusted the wrong protector. Today, our own nation is tempted to say, “This is ours, we built it,” instead of, “God, You gave it.” As you listen, ask yourself: are we repeating Egypt’s mistake, or learning to bow before the Lord of all nations?
In this episode, Pastor Brian Noble walks through Ezekiel 29, where God confronts Egypt and Pharaoh for claiming the Nile as their own creation and for becoming a false source of confidence for Israel. Pastor Brian explains how God used desolation and discipline so that “then they will know that I am the Lord” would be more than words—it would be history written on the nations. He connects Egypt’s fall and Israel’s misplaced trust to how modern nations, including the United States, often take credit for what God has given. The episode ends in a prayer of repentance, asking God to humble us, realign our trust, and teach us to honor Him as King of kings and Lord of lords
