Ezekiel rebukes both male and female false prophets who carelessly claim God has spoken, whitewash society’s problems, and make pious claims for personal gain, discouraging the righteous while lifting the wicked. God will remove false visions, expose dishonest “mortar,” and deliver His people so “they may know that I am the Lord.” For today’s public life, the lesson is clear: embrace civic truthfulness, demand accountability from leaders, and build laws and movements on deep biblical foundations—not fashionable but false assurances.
