Jesus crossed the water for one broken man—and then sent that restored man back home with one powerful assignment: tell everyone what God has done.
Summary
In Luke 8:26–39, Jesus meets a man tormented and isolated by demons, restores him, and leaves him clothed, healed, and sitting at Jesus’ feet in his right mind. When the man asks to follow Jesus, Jesus instead sends him back to his home and city to proclaim the great things God has done for him. The devotional challenges believers to stop centering their conversations on circumstances—whether good or difficult—and begin speaking about the greatness and goodness of God. Our witness does not have to begin with a theological debate; it can begin with a personal testimony of Christ’s freedom, faithfulness, and transforming power.
