When every false god stays silent, the living God still answers—and He calls His people to stop wavering and choose whom they will serve.
Summary
In this Salvation Sunday devotional, Pastor Brian Noble walks through Elijah’s confrontation with the prophets of Baal in 1 Kings 18. Elijah’s challenge on Mount Carmel exposes the emptiness of false gods and culminates in God sending fire to consume a water-soaked altar, leading the people to declare, “The Lord, He is God.” The message applies that choice to today’s public square, urging listeners to reject idols of wealth, power, ideology, and sinful self-rule in favor of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. It closes with a prayer for revival, for Washington’s leaders and communities, and for believers to defend biblical values with courage and humility
