Today’s Old Testament Tuesday takes you into Ezekiel 26, where God brings down a powerful trading empire that mocked Jerusalem. Tyre trusted its wealth, its walls, and its pillars—but God sent Nebuchadnezzar to scrape it down to bare rock so “they will know that I am the Lord.” This same God still humbles pride and defends His covenant people today. Lean in and let this sobering chapter search your own heart.
Pastor Brian Noble walks through Ezekiel 26 and God’s judgment on Tire, a wealthy seaport that gloated over Jerusalem’s fall and trusted in trade and power instead of the Lord. God announces He will use Nebuchadnezzar and many nations to batter down Tyre’s walls, strip its riches, silence its songs, and turn it into a bare rock in the sea. The fall of Tyre shocks the surrounding coastlands and becomes a vivid warning that proud powers sink, but God’s glory and His covenant people endure. Pastor Brian closes by calling listeners to reject pride, walk in obedience, and boldly advance biblical values in the public square today.
